A Thirsty Samaritan Man
My name is Uuganbayar, from UBF Mongolia.
I was born on March 20, 1983.
As the eldest son of my family, my parents called me "First happiness."
Throughout my life, I have sought happiness through various activities.
From kindergarten, I was a talented child who excelled in dancing, acting in plays, and singing.
In elementary school, I practiced Wu-shu, Taekwondo, and karate, and by high school, I discovered my passion for playing basketball, table tennis, and soccer.
Additionally, I was an active member of the school choir and dance team, participating in various competitions.
In high school, I became obsessed with parties, bars, and nightclubs.
Every Friday, we would go to bars and nightclubs, dance like crazy, and consume a lot of beer and alcohol.
One day, while drunk near the school, the principal of our school caught me and considered expelling me.
Thankfully, my father pleaded tearfully, and I was able to continue studying and graduate.
It was a wake-up call that made me realize I was on the wrong path.
Once I entered university, my old habits resurfaced, and I became obsessed with parties again.
Moreover, I started chasing after a girlfriend.
I thought having a girlfriend would make me happy.
Then I fell in love with a girl who was from my high school.
But one day, I discovered that she cheated on me and abandoned me.
I could not find happiness in chasing after a girlfriend.
I could not find happiness studying at the university.
My soul was empty and thirsty.
Jesus Quenched My Thirst with His Living Water
In the spring of 2001, after finishing my classes at the university, I was walking with a friend.
Suddenly, two women approached us and invited us to a Bible study.
At first, I said "no" firmly.
But they convinced me to go to church.
Reluctantly, I agreed to go to church saying that I could only stay for 5 minutes.
However, when I entered the UBF center, the brothers and sisters welcomed me warmly, hospitably, and respectfully.
I ended up staying almost 3-4 hours.
I had never before received so much love and acceptance.
After that, I not only started studying the Bible but also participated in the Spring Bible Conference.
During this conference, I was deeply moved by John 4:14, which says: "but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
This message made me realize that I had been seeking joy in all the wrong places, like the water from Jacob's well.
I discovered that those pursuits could not quench the thirst of my soul; they only left me more unsatisfied.
I understood that true joy could only be found in Jesus and the eternal living water He offers.
Later, during the Summer Bible Conference, I received the love of Jesus shown on the cross for my sins.
I sincerely repented of my sins and accepted Jesus as my Savior.
I soon became a pastor and servant of God, actively fishing and conducting Bible studies with students.
I wholeheartedly participated in various activities during the Bible Conferences.
As I dedicated my talents to God's work, I experienced increasing joy.
With God's help, I successfully graduated from the University and had the opportunity to work in my professional field.
However, I faced persecution from the branch manager of the bank where I worked for not socializing and drinking alcohol with them.
Nevertheless, I faithfully fulfilled my duties by faith, and soon I received a job offer from the Treasury department at the headquarters.
God blessed my faith, allowing me to excel in my work and assigning me suitable responsibilities.
During my working life, I faced the temptation of worldly women.
As I was still unmarried, my colleagues tried to introduce me to single women.
However, I made the decision to establish a home church by faith.
God accepted my decision, and I married a very faithful and beautiful pastor in 2008.
God blessed our family and gave us 3 beautiful children.
My wife and eldest daughter came here to see the glory of God.
Another temptation I faced during my banking career was related to money.
Some clients offered me opportunities to gain dishonest financial benefits.
However, I decided to act with honesty.
